The Hérisson® coupler has successfully passed the low cycle fatigue tests

The Hérisson® coupler has successfully passed the low cycle fatigue tests as per ISO 15835 standard, which assesses the behaviour of the rebar in medium (S1) and violent (S2) seismic conditions via a series of tension/compression cycles.

The low elongation values obtained in S1 and transient elongation in S2, ensure the resistance of the coupler in the event of an earthquake.

Hérisson® rebar couplers HA32 and HA40 thus showed resistance under extreme usage conditions with contained elongation values. Although this criterion is not required by the standard, the systematic rupture in areas other than the coupler while the rebar endures end tension demonstrates the exceptional resistance of the ARMATURIS solution.

The approved results obtained from low cycle fatigue tests, contained elongation and rupture in areas other than the coupler, have led to the Hérisson® coupler becoming the choice for buildings and structures that demand maximum levels of safety.
